We are recruiting a qualified school-based Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join a well-established, creative, and supportive SEN school based in the London borough of Wandsworth.
You will be working directly with pupils aged 11 - 19, all diagnosed with ASD, challenging behaviour and associated learning difficulties; The school provides personalised and holistic education to children and young people diagnosed with Autism/ASC.
They have an in-house therapy team, and you will have fantastic CPD and training opportunities!

- Working with children and young people with Autism/ASC and moderate to severe learning disabilities
- Permanent contract; full-time or part-time (term time only)
- Salaries in line with NHS Band Scales

Ideal School-based Speech and Language Therapist:
- Must be HCPC registered
- Has a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- Has experience working with children and young people with special needs, particularly with Autism/ASC and associated learning difficulties
- Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
- A positive, proactive, and patient individual who can build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents, and carers
- A team player and has great communication skills
School-based Speech and Language Therapist's Main Responsibilities:
- Providing both individual and group speech and language therapy services to children
- Attending and contributing to staff meetings and Annual Review meetings
- Working closely with the rest of the multidisciplinary team, as well as teachers and support staff
- Providing a creative and nurturing learning environment where children can reach their potential
- Being fully aware of the school policy and implementing Health and Safety Regulations, including Risk Assessment
