Are you a Science or IT Teacher who thrives on building strong relationships and making a real difference for young people with SEMH needs?
We are working with a supportive SEMH secondary school in Barnet that is looking to appoint a dedicated Science & IT Teacher to join their team.
The School:
This specialist secondary school supports students with SEMH needs, providing a structured, therapeutic, and nurturing environment. Staff are well-supported by strong leadership, small class sizes, and a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
The Role:

Teach Science and IT across KS3 and KS4

Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets

Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Build strong, consistent relationships with students

Work closely with support staff, therapists, and leadership
Who We’re Looking For:

QTS preferred (unqualified teachers with strong SEMH/SEND experience considered)

Experience working with SEMH students or a strong desire to move into this setting

Confident classroom presence with a calm, resilient approach

Passion for inclusive education and trauma-informed practice
