September brings new beginnings, new classrooms, new faces and the chance to do things differently.

We are working with a specialist setting looking for a Science Teacher to join them from September on a permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to start the academic year with intention to build strong foundations, establish routines, and create a classroom where every student feels they belong from day one.

Starting in September means you’re not picking things up midway — you’re shaping the journey from the very start.

You’ll be the teacher who:

  • Sets the tone for the year ahead.
  • Builds trust before barriers go up.
  • Creates a classroom where students feel safe enough to try.

Because when students feel that from the beginning, everything else becomes possible.

Who you'll be supporting

The students in this setting need more than subject knowledge, they are young people with SEND, including ASC, SEMH, and Moderate Learning Difficulties, who may have experienced challenges in education. Some arrive cautious, some unsure, and some already expecting to struggle, but September is powerful, it’s a fresh start not just for you, but for them too and the right teacher can shape that start in a way that changes everything that follows.

To be successful you will...

  • You will teach Science across Key Stage 4, with a focus on GCSE Biology (AQA) and Entry Level pathways, delivering lessons that are clear, engaging, and accessible.
  • From the very beginning of the term, you will establish structure, consistency, and high expectations, creating a calm, purposeful learning environment where students can settle, engage, and grow in confidence.
  • You’ll adapt your teaching to meet a wide range of needs, breaking learning down and supporting students to experience success early on building momentum that carries through the year.
  • You will also contribute to the wider science department, supporting practical lessons, maintaining resources, and ensuring a safe and organised environment for learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of AQA Science, particularly GCSE Biology and Entry Level.
  • Experience working with students with SEND.
  • Ability to differentiate and engage learners with a range of needs.
  • A calm, consistent approach and a genuine commitment to supporting every student

For the right teacher, this role offers the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up and see the impact unfold across the entire academic year. Apply with Parker Smith Inclusion today by contacting luke.conner@psinclusion.co.uk or call us on 0203 011 4848 and start the year where you can make a real difference.
