Start date: ASAP / Flexible
Contract: Long-term / Permanent options available
Pay: £208-£257 a day
We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Camden that is looking for a Science Teacher who understands that curiosity doesn’t disappear just because learning looks different.
This role is about making science accessible, engaging, and meaningful for pupils with additional needs - not rushing through content or chasing grades.
About the role
-
Teaching Science to small classes of pupils with SEND
-
Adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
-
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and SENCOs
-
Creating a calm, structured environment where pupils feel safe to try
The school values relationship-based teaching and gives staff the time and support needed to do their jobs properly.
This role would suit someone who:
-
Is a qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred, but not essential)
-
Has experience with SEND, SEMH, autism, or alternative provision - or is keen to move into SEND
-
Enjoys adapting lessons and thinking creatively
-
Believes behaviour is communication, not defiance
You don’t need to be a SEND expert already - just open-minded, reflective, and willing to learn.
Why work with us?
-
We specialise only in SEND education
-
PAYE only - no umbrella companies
-
Honest conversations about schools and expectations
-
Ongoing support throughout your placement
If you’re looking for a teaching role where you can slow down, connect with pupils, and actually see the impact of your work, this could be a great fit.
