Parker Smith Inclusion is supporting an Alternative Provision in the London Borough of Harrow that is seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join their committed and supportive team. This role is ideal for a Science Teacher with experience working with pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
This Alternative Provision supports pupils who are unable to access mainstream education, including those who may have experienced significant disruption to their learning or past trauma. Small class sizes, consistent routines and relationship-based practice are central to the provision’s approach.
Type of candidate we are looking for:
• QTS or QTLS is desirable but not essential
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and/or KS4 Science
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries
• Experience adapting Science lessons to engage reluctant learners and meet diverse academic and emotional needs
• Calm, consistent behaviour management approach that promotes safety, structure and positive choices
