As a Science Teacher, you know the buzz around children learning chemical reactions, how the world works or even their own bodies is a satisfying reward that makes you remember why you are passionate about the subject you teach.
Now imagine teaching your favourite subject in a specialist setting, where those moments mean even more.
About the role
As a Teacher working with Social Emotional Mental Health, you know the small wins lead to rewarding milestones. Whether it’s gaining a child’s trust or helping them overcome a barrier, each moment matters. A nurturing school in Enfield with an alternative provision are seeking a Science Teacher to share their passion within a curriculum that supports each child’s journey in achieving confidence, skills and experience for future opportunities. Trusting relationships with these pupils is at the heart of this school’s values; you will be fostering these connections with smaller groups of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students and teaching science in a way that is accessible for each learner.
Prior experience of working with SEND isn’t necessary, but you will need the passion and commitment to teach your subject in a way that is adaptive and inspiring for the students, ensuring any barriers to success are broken down.
This isn’t just a typical teaching role; you will be the reason our future children will be equipped for the future and find their own passions while learning.
