An alternative provision is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join its inclusive and dedicated team. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting KS3 learners who are experiencing barriers to education by delivering engaging, personalised learning that promotes confidence, academic progress and successful reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate. Many students have additional needs, including SEMH and ADHD, so the successful candidate will be resilient, adaptable and committed to building positive relationships that encourage engagement and achievement.
Working in small classes with high levels of pastoral support, you'll have the opportunity to tailor your teaching, celebrate individual progress and make a lasting impact on young people who benefit from consistency, patience and encouragement. This role would suit an experienced teacher or someone looking to transition into a specialist setting where relationships are at the heart of learning.
You will bring:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Science across Key Stage 3.
- Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
- Demonstrate a calm, resilient and flexible approach to teaching.
- Be passionate about supporting young people with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for students.
