Are you a Science Teacher who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs?
We are seeking a committed and adaptable Science Teacher to join a SEN school based in Enfield from September. This is an opportunity to work in a school where relationships, understanding and individual progress are at the centre of everything they do.
The role involves teaching Science across key stages to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs, and associated learning difficulties. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are accessible, engaging and tailored to individual learning profiles.
You will work as part of a skilled and supportive team, including teaching assistants and other professionals, to create a calm, structured environment in which pupils feel safe and able to learn. The role also includes contributing to assessment, supporting EHCP outcomes, and promoting pupils’ independence, confidence and life skills.
They are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent qualification
- Has experience teaching Science, ideally at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Has an interest in or experience of working with pupils with special educational needs
- Is patient, flexible and committed to inclusive practice
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
