Have you got experience supporting secondary students and are now looking to develop your career further in a SEMH setting. We are working alongside a specialist school based in Ealing Broadway, Ealing who are looking to appoint SEMH Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 and group support to students with behavioural difficulties.

 

This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately with the opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will vary depending on your experience from £90 to £100. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career further and transition to a setting focused on the development of behaviour for students.

 

The role:

  • Provide personalised 1:1 support tailored to each student’s abilities across mainstream subjects 
  • Incorporate visual aids and organised strategies to maintain focus and encourage engagement
  • Address challenging behaviours effectively but implementing behavioural strategies
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team to support student progress
  • Contribute to creating a secure, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Relevant professional or personal experience working with children or young people with SEMH
  • A strong passion for pursuing a career within special needs
  • A calm, patient, and positive approach, with a proactive mindset towards supporting learning
  • Able to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
  • Reliable and dedicated to a long-term position where consistency and continuity are valued
