£90 to £100 per day PAYE

Have you got experience supporting secondary aged students with Autism and are looking for a new challenge in a mainstream setting. We are working alongside a mainstream secondary school based in Uxbridge, Hillingdon who are looking to appoint an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with Autism who may present challenging behaviours.
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately with the opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will vary depending on your experience from £90 to £100. The role:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support tailored to each student’s abilities, needs, and learning objectives
- Incorporate visual aids and organised strategies to maintain focus and encourage engagement
- Address challenging behaviours effectively while supporting individual sensory requirements
- Work alongside teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team to support student progress
- Contribute to creating a secure, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate:
- Relevant professional or personal experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- A strong passion for pursuing a career within special needs
- A calm, patient, and positive approach, with a proactive mindset towards supporting learning
- Able to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
