A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in North London is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEND team.
The school places pupil progress, wellbeing and inclusion at the heart of everything they do. Working collaboratively, the SEND department supports students with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, dyslexia and pupils with EHCPs, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping students access learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships within school.
The Role
• Supporting pupils with SEND across the secondary school
• Delivering targeted interventions and personalised support
• Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals
• Supporting behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing
• Promoting independence and positive outcomes
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Understanding of Autism, SEMH, dyslexia or learning difficulties
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Passionate about supporting young people
