We are seeking an exceptional Autism Teaching Assistant to join a therapeutic SEND school in Brent this September. The school supports secondary-aged pupils with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs, but teaching is delivered at a primary level – creating a nurturing, creative, and highly personalised approach to learning.
About the Role
- Full-time, long-term to permanent Teaching Assistant position
- Supporting students in small classes (often fewer than 8 pupils)
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to provide consistent support in learning and emotional regulation
- Helping to deliver a primary-level curriculum to KS3 and KS4 students with Autism and SEMH
- Implementing strategies that help young people manage behaviour, build trust, and feel safe
- Collaborating with experienced teachers and embedded support staff in a therapeutic framework
