SEMH / SEN Outreach Tutor – September Start
£130 per day | Term Time Only | Full-Time | PAYE | Richmond & Kingston
Are you a confident tutor or educator who thrives in one-to-one settings?
Do you believe education should meet the child, not the other way around?
We are searching for full-time SEMH / SEN Outreach Tutors to join a highly specialist outreach service supporting children and young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference, working with students in the community rather than in a traditional classroom setting. You’ll be teaching in homes, libraries, youth centres and other local settings, supporting learners with SEN / Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), trauma backgrounds (ACEs), and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
It’s a role that calls for creativity, resilience, and compassion.
What you’ll be doing:
- Teaching Key Stages 1 to 4 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Adapting and planning sessions that are both accessible and engaging
- Supporting students with emotional regulation, confidence and academic skills
- Collaborating with therapists, outreach teams and families to support reintegration or long-term personalised provision
What we’re looking for:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a UK school setting (mainstream or SEND)
- Strong National Curriculum knowledge across core subjects
- Confidence in independently planning and delivering lessons
- A calm, empathetic approach and the ability to build trust quickly
What’s on offer:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday (term time only)
- Weekly PAYE pay at £130 per day, no umbrella deductions, ever
- Regular training and CPD
- Opportunity to step into a therapeutic or specialist teaching role
- Join a nurturing, well-regarded outreach programme that genuinely changes lives
