SEMH Teaching Assistant| Temp to Perm| £95-110| Richmond| September Start
Have you got experience working with complex SEMH needs? If you are looking for the next challenge, this role could be for you!
An expanding specialist school are looking for a SEMH TA to join their Key Stage 3 team and be a part of their journey in supporting children with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Many of these children have a dual diagnosis of ADHD and ASC and exhibit very challenging behaviour.
This school understands the importance of education, but also the gap that comes with supporting children with SEMH in education. The school is dedicated to changing this narrative by creating a flourishing environment for these pupils, by providing a provision that prepares them for life beyond school and creating meaningful steps for change. The curriculum offers enriching opportunities tailored to each child’s development and led with the principles of warmth, nurture and structure.
Your Part in Their Story
- You will be committed to the school’s vision in creating and support each individual child’s progress, tailoring your approach to each child as you build a trusting relationship.
- You will be a positive role model and help engage children in their activities.
- You will support their skills in self-care and independence.
- You will be resilient and proactive, emotionally aware and committed to their journey.
If you have experience working with SEMH or other complex challenging behaviour, or perhaps you have a degree in psychology, social work or other relevant areas, we would love to hear from you! Please call 020 3011 4848 and ask for Bethany to discuss this opportunity, or email bethany@psinclusion.co.uk.
