About the SEMH Deputy Headteacher Role

As Deputy Headteacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in our senior leadership team, driving the school’s vision and ethos. You’ll lead on key areas of curriculum, pastoral care, and staff development, ensuring our students receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities for SEMH Deputy Headteacher

  • Provide inspirational leadership to staff and students.

  • Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies.

  • Oversee safeguarding and ensure high standards of wellbeing.

  • Lead on staff training and professional development initiatives.

  • Collaborate with families, external agencies, and the wider TCES network.

SEMH Deputy Headteacher requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven leadership experience.

  • A passion for working with neurodiverse children and young people.

  • Expertise in therapeutic education, SEND, or SEMH needs.

  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and organisational skills.

  • A collaborative and adaptable approach to leadership.
