£120 - £140 per day (PAYE)

About the school
This is an SEN school in Mole Valley, Surrey, supporting pupils aged 7 to 16 with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH. Many of the pupils present with high anxiety, low confidence, and past trauma, so relationships come before anything else here. Classes are small, and staffing ratios are high. Teaching staff work directly alongside an in-house therapy team, so the strategies that help a pupil regulate in one room are the same ones followed in the next. The curriculum is built around each individual pupil rather than a fixed pathway.
What the role involves
- Leading small group and 1:1 sessions with real ownership, not just delivering someone else's plan
- Stepping into class with confidence when needed
- Reading a pupil's rising anxiety early enough to change the outcome
- Working closely with teachers and the therapy team so support stays consistent across the day
What is needed
- Solid experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and internalised SEMH
- Comfort leading sessions and working independently at HLTA level
- HLTA qualification is not required. What matters is that you're already operating at that level
