SEMH Learning Assistant| Enfield| £500-650 weekly PAYE| Interviewing for September start

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and motivated SEMH Learning Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Your Part in Their Journey

As an SEMH Learning Assistant, you will provide personalised support to pupils who may experience emotional, behavioural or social challenges that impact their learning. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will help pupils develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and positive relationships, enabling them to engage successfully in education.

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring.

  • Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively.

  • Promoting engagement with learning through encouragement and tailored strategies.

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and external agencies.

  • Recording progress and contributing to individual support plans.

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or additional needs.

  • Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure.

  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Is proactive, flexible and committed to improving outcomes for young people.
