We are working with a specialist SEMH school in Enfield that provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for students who have experienced barriers to learning.

The school takes a trauma-informed approach and is dedicated to helping every student rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve brighter futures.

This is a challenging but deeply rewarding role where no two days are the same and your impact truly lasts a lifetime.

The Role

  • Build trusting relationships that help students feel valued and understood.
  • Support learning both in and out of the classroom, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Provide emotional, behavioural, and academic support using trauma-informed strategies.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of staff, families, and external professionals to help students thrive.
  • Be a positive role model who goes above and beyond to make a difference.

About You

  • Passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable in the face of challenges.
  • Experienced working with children or young people with SEMH/behavioural needs (in a school, youth work, or similar setting).
  • Able to create positive connections and inspire students who may have struggled in mainstream education.

What the School Offers

  • Regular professional development and specialist training in trauma-informed practice and SEMH strategies.
  • Clear pathways for career progression in a supportive setting.
  • Flexibility to accommodate childcare and family commitments.
  • Temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate.
  • Access to therapy dogs as part of staff and student wellbeing.
  • Use of the onsite gym facilities after school hours.

If you are looking for a fresh challenge and want to be part of a team that truly transforms the lives of young people with SEMH, we would love to hear from you.
