We are working with a highly respected specialist SEMH school in North London that is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher, with the ability to also deliver Science, to join their secondary team from September 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing, therapeutic environment where relationships are at the heart of everything the school does. The school supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism, many of whom have faced significant barriers to education. The focus is on rebuilding confidence, re-engaging learners, and enabling both academic and personal progress.
The Role
- Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver Science lessons where required
- Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Adapt and differentiate learning to meet individual needs
- Build consistent, positive, and trusting relationships with students
- Work collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Confident or willing to teach Science
- Strong behaviour management skills with a nurturing approach
- Passionate about SEND/SEMH education
- Resilient, reflective, and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
