Teaching Maths in an SEMH setting is about more than delivering lessons. For many students, progress begins with trust, consistency, and positive relationships. Before they can engage with the curriculum, they need a teacher who understands their challenges and believes in their potential.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school is looking for a resilient and engaging Maths Teacher who can help students re-engage with learning and achieve meaningful outcomes.
The Role
You will teach Maths to small classes of students who benefit from a personalised and therapeutic approach to education. Lessons will need to be adapted to meet a range of abilities, with a focus on building confidence, engagement, and academic progress.
Working closely with support staff and pastoral teams, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers and experience success in education.
We're Looking For Someone Who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

Has experience teaching secondary Maths

Understands SEMH, SEND, or barriers to learning

Builds strong relationships with young people

Is patient, adaptable, and resilient

Believes every student can succeed with the right support
