SEMH Mentor

Essex

SEMH

September Start

We are currently working with a setting in Essex who are seeking a SEMH Mentor to support  their young people who are not able to attend mainstream school and have SEMH needs. The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND. We support Education providers that educate children and young people who for many reasons cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community. Understanding their SEMH needs must be met before any academic development can happen. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who, as a SEMH Mentor can make a positive impact.

Requirements:

 ● Experience of supporting young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication

 ● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships

● A passion for working with SEND is essential

What you can expect-

● Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers

●The opportunity to make a huge social impact, you could change the path of someone’s life!
