We are proud to be working in partnership with a highly supportive Specialist SEMH School that provides tailored education for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Every child in the school has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is dedicated to helping each pupil achieve their full potential through a nurturing, relationship-based approach.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurture Teacher to work with a small Year 9 group, delivering a creative, flexible, and trauma-informed curriculum. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of emotional regulation, attachment-informed practice, and consistency in building trust with learners.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes

Support pupils in developing confidence, self-esteem, and emotional literacy

Create a safe, calm, and structured learning environment

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to ensure holistic support

Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and multi-agency teams
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

Experience teaching in an SEMH or SEND setting (preferred)

Strong understanding of nurture principles and trauma-informed practice

A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
