About the Role

A specialist SEMH school that nurtures children aged 11 to 18 are seeking a passionate and resilient Teacher to join their collaborative team to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Located in Enfield, this inclusive setting is rooted in trust, commitment and fairness to nurture confident pupils and inquisitive learners. Using a student-centred approach that focuses on emotional wellbeing and self-esteem, their staff are dedicated to an inclusive practice that meets the needs of each individual learner using integrated therapeutic techniques.

As a SEMH Teacher you will be responsible for:

  • Adapt a specialised curriculum to teach a small class of pupils to maximise levels on engagement and inclusion.
  • Apply a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to support children’s behaviour.
  • Plan and deliver high quality lessons and interventions that consider different learning styles.
  • Effectively liaise with multi-partner agencies such as therapists, social workers and others.

 

About You

  • Confident in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
  • Demonstrate fantastic leadership skills.
  • Be committed to the school’s visions and values.
  • Have a balanced approach of nurture and striving to challenge learners so they can achieve their potential.
  • Hold a relevant QTS or unqualified with strong experience.
