SEMH Teacher

We are working with a SEMH school based in North London who are seeking an experienced teacher who is resilient and hard working.This role is within a brand new class and has the support of experienced TAs to support the teacher. This role will be teaching students in year 8 & 9 but will be delivering year 6 primary curriculum, so is important the successful candidate has some primary experience.
Main Duties:
- To plan lessons and teach primary curriculum
- Responsibility for tracking pupil progress and monitoring to support teaching and learning
- Deliver dynamic and creative lessons
- Built positive relationships with students, parents and carers
- Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Unqualified and proven experience
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong sense of empathy, patience, and resilience, with the ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations
