Are you the person who can help a child feel understood, supported and ready to learn?
A new SEMH provision within a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest is looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.
You will support a small group of children with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive relationships with learning.
The Role
You will:
✅ Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs
✅ Work alongside an experienced SEMH Teacher and another SEMH TA
✅ Help create a calm and structured learning environment
✅ Support personalised learning and interventions
✅ Build strong relationships with pupils
✅ Encourage independence and confidence
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
✅ Patient, calm and resilient
✅ Passionate about supporting children with SEND
✅ Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
✅ Able to build positive relationships
✅ A team player who wants to make a difference
Experience in SEMH, SEND, behaviour support, youth work or education is beneficial.
