Enfield, North London
£100–£130 per day (PAYE)
Long-Term to Permanent

Sometimes, one positive relationship can change everything.

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need patience, understanding and someone who believes in their potential?

Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a welcoming specialist SEMH school in Enfield, supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with social, emotional and mental health needs and behaviours that challenge.

The school offers a modern, purpose-built environment with a strong trauma-informed and nurturing approach, focusing on building positive relationships, developing confidence and helping pupils re-engage with education.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and encourage engagement in learning.
  • Support emotional regulation and use calm, effective de-escalation strategies.
  • Provide consistency, clear boundaries and positive reinforcement.
  • Work alongside teachers and specialist professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Use creative activities, sport and pupils' interests to build confidence and motivation.

About You

We're looking for someone who is resilient, patient, empathetic and passionate about making a difference.

Experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour would be beneficial, but we also welcome applicants from youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, care and residential settings.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can remain calm under pressure, build meaningful relationships and recognise the potential behind every behaviour.

What The School Offers

  • £100–£120 per day (PAYE)
  • Long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent
  • Supportive and experienced specialist school team
  • Valuable experience within a trauma-informed SEMH setting
  • A rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference
