Pay: £90 – £110 per day PAYE
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only | Temporary to permanent

This SEMH Youth Worker role is based within a specialist SEN and alternative provision setting in North West London, supporting pupils across primary and secondary age groups with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured, nurturing environment where emotional wellbeing, boundaries and relationship-led support are central to success.

As an SEMH Youth Worker, you will work alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide targeted emotional and behavioural support. Your role will focus on helping pupils manage emotions, regulate behaviour and re-engage with learning in a safe and supportive way.

The role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group SEMH support and mentoring

  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social skills

  • Using trauma-informed, restorative and de-escalation approaches

  • Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions and unstructured times

  • Acting as a consistent, trusted adult and positive role model

  • Supporting behaviour plans, interventions and EHCP outcomes

  • Encouraging engagement, resilience and positive decision-making
