Salary: £93 - £105 per day - PAYE
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Are you looking to build meaningful, hands-on experience within SEN therapy and education?
A highly specialist SEN school in Brent is seeking a dedicated SEN Assistant to join their on-site multidisciplinary team. The school supports pupils aged 3–19 with autism, complex needs, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities, offering a truly holistic and therapeutic approach to education.
This role is ideal for individuals aspiring to become Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, or those looking to deepen their experience within SEN settings.
Working closely with qualified therapists and teaching staff, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ communication, sensory regulation, independence, and engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small groups
- Support pupils with autism, sensory processing needs, and communication difficulties
- Use visual supports, AAC systems, and sensory strategies within the classroom
- Assist in implementing EHCP targets and therapy programmes
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and engagement
- Work collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth setting)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Genuine interest in therapy, SEN, psychology, or child development
