SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant

£90 - £100 PAYE per day, depending on experience
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

I am working with a friendly and supportive SEN school in Morden, which provides creative education to children diagnosed with Autism/ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language Communication Needs, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties.

Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant requirements
- Passion for working with young people who require additional support to access education and social development
- Ideally, previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with autism or other special educational needs.
- CACHE Level 3 desirable
- A proactive and positive individual always striving to meet children's learning needs.
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Willingness to learn and partake in any additional training
- Strong behaviour management skills, ability to de-escalate situations and give strong direction
- A good sense of humour and an optimistic outlook
What you can expect as a SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant
- You will be responsible for leading play-based activities, developing social skills and building confidence.
- Your role as an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant will be to support a child with special educational needs; however, the role will vary daily; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations.
- For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path.
- Continued Professional Development—SEND schools and APs continually train their staff to help them support their children's needs. You will become an expert in your field.

Pay
- We understand that pay is extremely important and must be clear and simple! Therefore, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay; your pay will never involve the employer's NI deductions or admin fees.
- Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration, depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates. Please note that we pay PAYE only, and rates will vary from £80-100 per day, depending on the role and your experience.
