SEN Primary Teacher – Autism Resource Provision (ARP)
Location: Brent
Pay: £194.21 – £287.97 per day (PAYE)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join an Autism Resource Provision (ARP) within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Brent. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with Autism and associated needs to access learning and thrive.
The Role

Plan and deliver an adapted primary curriculum for pupils within the ARP across KS1 and KS2

Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, sensory processing difficulties, and emotional regulation challenges

Use a range of communication strategies including Makaton, PECS, PODD, and visual supports

Implement autism-specific approaches such as TEACCH and Attention Autism

Support behaviour through understanding the function of behaviour and promoting positive regulation strategies

Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to meet EHCP outcomes

Promote inclusion by supporting pupils to access mainstream learning where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS
-
Has experience teaching pupils with Autism, ideally within an ARP or specialist setting

Confident using alternative communication systems

Creative, flexible, and solution-focused

Committed to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
