SEN Primary Teacher – Autism Resource Provision (ARP)
Location: Brent
Pay: £194.21 – £287.97 per day (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join an Autism Resource Provision (ARP) within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Brent. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with Autism and associated needs to access learning and thrive.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver an adapted primary curriculum for pupils within the ARP across KS1 and KS2

  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, sensory processing difficulties, and emotional regulation challenges

  • Use a range of communication strategies including Makaton, PECS, PODD, and visual supports

  • Implement autism-specific approaches such as TEACCH and Attention Autism

  • Support behaviour through understanding the function of behaviour and promoting positive regulation strategies

  • Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to meet EHCP outcomes

  • Promote inclusion by supporting pupils to access mainstream learning where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS

  • Has experience teaching pupils with Autism, ideally within an ARP or specialist setting

  • Confident using alternative communication systems

  • Creative, flexible, and solution-focused

  • Committed to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
