Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

A mainstream primary school based in Greenford, Ealing are seeking to appoint an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to lead a brand new class in their dedicated specialist resource provision for students with Autism. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on the development and progress of students who previously did not have access to specialist teaching. You will play a pivotal role in aiding student development through teaching a structured curriculum which is adapted to the needs of each individual student.

 

If you are someone looking to take the next step to lead a class for students with Autism, this position may be for you. Initially, this will be a full-time, long-term contract till the academic year before transferring and becoming a permanent member of staff. The school will consider candidates between MPS1 to MPS6 inner London pay scale.

 

The role:

  • Lead a mixed KS1 class for students in Year 1 and Year 2
  • Able to teach the EYFS curriculum as students are learning below their ability level
  • Confident in adapting curriculum teaching to provide a personalised teaching tailored to students
  • Be able to create a structured, nurturing classroom environment
  • Managed Teaching Assistants and delegate tasks efficiently throughout the school day
  • Work closely with Class Teachers, Therapists and the wider SEN team to aid development

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching students with Autism and associated learning needs
  • A flexible, reflective and creative teaching approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education
