Are you a Primary Teacher with SEN experience looking for a supportive school, smaller class sizes and a better work-life balance?
A specialist SEN primary provision in South West London is looking for a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to lead a small autism class. This role is ideal for teachers with experience in SEND, Autism (ASC) or SEMH who want to focus on high-quality teaching in a structured and well-supported environment.
You will be teaching a class of 6 pupils with Autism, supported by 2 experienced Teaching Assistants, allowing you to deliver personalised learning and build strong relationships with pupils.
The Role

Teach a small class of 6 pupils with Autism (EYFS to KS2 levels)

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons linked to EHCP outcomes

Adapt the primary curriculum to meet a range of additional needs

Create a calm, structured and consistent classroom environment

Work closely with Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support

Support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation

Monitor and track pupil progress, celebrating small achievements
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience working with SEN / SEND pupils (school-based experience essential)

Knowledge of Autism / ASC / SEMH (desirable)

Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2)

Calm, patient and adaptable approach

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
