Parker Smith Inclusion are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil in a specialist class at a welcoming, supportive primary school in Romford. Staff describe it as a friendly, inclusive environment where both pupils and colleagues feel truly valued.
About the role:

Full-time, Monday to Friday - 8:30 - 15:30

About the pupil:
-
Year 5 student with a diagnosis of ASD
-
Non-verbal and currently on a reduced timetable
-
Requires structure, routine, and consistency to help them engage in learning

Can present with challenging behaviour, including physical outbursts when dysregulated
The ideal candidate will have:
-
Experience supporting children with ASD

Knowledge of PECS, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction and visual timetables

Ideally Team Teach training (or similar)

Confidence, resilience, and the ability to establish rapport and strong routines quickly
