Are you a passionate SEN Teacher who believes that every child deserves to be understood, supported and celebrated?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing special school in Cricklewood that provides an integrated, therapeutic approach to education for children and young people with Autism (ASC) and associated social, emotional and mental health needs.

This specialist setting supports pupils aged 7–16 who have often found mainstream education challenging. The school places strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing, personalised learning and creating a calm, structured environment where pupils can re-engage with education and thrive.

The Role – SEN Teacher
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping meaningful learning experiences and supporting both academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Teaching small classes of pupils with Autism and SEMH needs across primary or secondary age ranges

  • Creating a safe, nurturing and structured classroom environment

  • Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and social development

  • Assessing progress and adapting teaching to ensure positive outcomes

  • Working closely with therapists, SEN support staff and families as part of a multidisciplinary team

The Ideal Candidate
We are welcoming applications from experienced SEN Teachers and mainstream teachers looking to transition into special education. You will ideally have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching pupils with Autism and/or SEMH (specialist or mainstream settings)

  • Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, trauma-informed approach

  • Creativity, patience and resilience

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice and continuous professional development

What the School Offers

  • Competitive salary £40,317 – £62,496 with annual reviews

  • Enhanced pension contributions

  • Ongoing CPD and career progression opportunities

  • A supportive, collaborative staff team

  • Access to wellbeing support, including counselling services

  • Benefits including cycle to work scheme, life cover and retail discounts

  • A rewarding role where your work has genuine purpose and impact

Why Join This School?
This is more than a teaching role. It is an opportunity to help children rediscover confidence, develop trust in education and achieve outcomes that once felt out of reach. You will be part of a forward-thinking special school that values staff wellbeing, professional growth and meaningful relationships with pupils.

If you are a dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a special school job in Cricklewood where you can truly make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
