SEND Teacher – Camden

Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available
Salary: £200-£257 per day / MPS–UPS (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to work in specialist provisions and inclusive mainstream schools across Camden.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised education for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The Role:
As a SEND Teacher in Camden, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
- Teach students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, SLD, and moderate learning difficulties
- Develop, implement, and review EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Lead and support Teaching Assistants and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching pupils with SEND or in specialist settings
- Have strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP procedures
- Be patient, flexible, and resilient
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Have the right to work in the UK
Experience in SEN schools, ARPs, or resource bases is highly desirable but not essential.
