I am working alongside an all-through specialist school based in Ealing Broadway, Ealing who are looking to appoint a SEN Teacher to lead a mixed secondary class for students in KS3. You will gain the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and be a part of an ‘Outstanding’ school.

This is a well-established special school based in Ealing, providing high-quality education to neurodivergent students. The school are now expanding their secondary provision to further classes for students in KS3.

About the SEN Teacher role:

You will be leading a brand-new mixed class of KS3 students aged 12 to 14 years old. You will have responsibility for planning and delivering learning that meets students where they are and focus on raising their attainment over the course of the academic year.

The role involves:

  • Teaching a small class of students with Autism and/or associated learning needs
  • Focusing on developing social skills of students
  • Working on raising attainment on previous missed milestones
  • Creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting emotional regulation alongside learning
  • Liaising with parents, SEN staff and external professionals

 

Who this role suits:

This role would suit a SEN Teacher who:

  • Has QTS
  • Has experience working with students with Autism and/or additional learning needs
  • Comfortable teaching secondary aged students
  • Understands complex behavioural needs
  • Is patient, reflective, and adaptable in their approach
  • Is confident in differentiating the curriculum meaningfully
  • Wants to work in a specialist setting
