SEN Teacher - Mainstream Primary Setting

Are you a specialist teacher looking for a new challenge next academic year? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with autism?
I'm supporting a large primary school based in the heart of Newham with easy transport links, they are committed the inclusivity and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, which included autism. You will be focusing on targeted interventions with small groups of children, such as Attention Autism, life skills, music and have access to a SEN classroom as well as supporting students in the mainstream lessons.
You'll be working collaboratively with the SENCo and Speech and Language Therapists to plan and deliver high quality teaching for pupils that have significant sensory needs, you will be the SEN specialist within the school meaning that you'll be looked to for the quality of learning for each SEN student.
You must have the following for this role;
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- SEND experience particulary, ASC, ADHD, sensory needs, learning difficulties, speech and language needs)
- SEND school or specialist provision experience
- Confident with all SEND interventions for a primary setting and strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and modified learning
- Commitment to raising standards for SEND within the school and supporting EHCPs
- Motivation, enthusiasm and passion for SEND.
