SEN Teaching Assistant – South West London

Parker Smith Inclusion are currently working with an outstanding specialist primary school who are seeking a hard-working and passionate SEN Teaching assistant to join their team. This provision is centred around pupils with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD and PMLD) and autism, with a tailored curriculum with the aim to help each individual pupil. The staff are knowledgeable and well-trained allowing them to focus on pupils’ development, communication and independence.
Within this role, you will help support pupils individually and small groups, help pupils use alternative communication methods, support with personal care and sensory and water-based activities, while continuously building trusting relationships with both staff and pupils.
Have you got a degree in Psychology, or have you got previous experience within a specialist setting and are wanting to push forward your career? Well, either way, this school could be perfect for you.
In this role, previous experience is not essential however, you must be confident in providing person care and supporting with physical support.
