We are working with a wonderful specialist SEN school in Kingston upon Thames that supports children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a long-term, full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position, ideal for anyone passionate about making a positive impact in special education.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and reach personal goals
  • Using creative and sensory strategies to engage and motivate learners
  • Promoting communication, confidence, and independence
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Supporting students’ emotional regulation and well-being

About you

  • You are caring, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
  • You may be a recent graduate (Psychology, Education, Child Development, etc.)
  • Or you may have previous experience in schools, care, or youth support
  • You are reliable, proactive, and committed to helping every pupil thrive
