SEN Teaching Assistant – Stanmore, Harrow

  • Daily Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day PAYE (dependant on experience)
  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Schools across Stanmore, Harrow are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of additional learning needs in primary, secondary and SEN environments. This role suits someone passionate about helping children build communication skills, confidence and independence.

Role Overview

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with autism and other SEND needs
  • Assist with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support teachers with structured learning activities and daily routines
  • Contribute to a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism
  • Calm, patient and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
