SEN Teaching Assistant – Hillingdon

Pay: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, long-term to permanent (term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP

 

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are currently working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ SEN school in Hillingdon, seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

 

This is a rewarding opportunity to support secondary-aged pupils with Autism and additional learning needs, helping them to access education, build confidence, and develop independence within a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.

The Role & Ideal Candidate

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, working closely with teaching and support staff to ensure every student can engage meaningfully with learning.

 

Key responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs

  • Supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team

  • Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Commitment to a long-term, full-time role

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK
