Do you believe that calm, consistent support can help autistic children feel safe enough to learn and communicate?
We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Willesden, Brent, supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), non-verbal communication and complex needs. This is not a general TA role — it requires emotional presence, patience, and a genuine understanding of how autistic children experience the school day.
Many pupils thrive with predictable routines, clear communication, and adults who understand sensory processing and emotional regulation. Progress is often seen through trust, engagement, communication and wellbeing — alongside academic development.

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism and complex needs
-
Support communication using visuals, structured routines and AAC strategies

-
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to follow individual support plans
-
Support learning at an appropriate pace, celebrating small but meaningful progress

Have an understanding of sensory needs, routines and regulation (or are keen to develop this)
