SEN Teaching Assistant
Hounslow
Full-Time, Long-Term
ASAP Start
£90 – £100 PAYE per day
Are you someone who believes every child should be seen, heard and helped to reach their potential? Do you bring patience, warmth and purpose to your work with children with complex learning and communication needs? We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school community in West London where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
This school supports children from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, many of whom require additional support to access the curriculum and thrive socially and emotionally. The SEN team works closely with teachers to ensure each child receives the guidance and attention they need to succeed.
What you will be doing
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will support children aged 2 to 11 with a range of needs including communication and interaction differences, learning challenges, social and emotional development needs, and sensory or physical needs.
You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help children access learning, develop confidence, and build independence. You will use visual supports, personalised strategies and sensory-informed approaches to meet individual needs. You will also help with daily routines, transitions and classroom engagement, working closely with teachers, the SENCo and the wider staff team.
Who we are looking for
We want someone who brings kindness, patience and resilience to their work. Experience supporting children with additional needs is welcome, whether through school work, volunteering, or personal experience. We are also keen to support graduates and aspiring SEND teachers or therapists who want to grow and learn in a supportive environment.
What we offer
A full-time long-term role with the potential to move into a permanent position
A competitive daily PAYE pay of £90 – £100
A supportive team and leadership who value staff wellbeing and professional development
Ongoing training and opportunities to grow
The chance to make a real difference in children’s lives
