SEN Teaching Assistant - Camden

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate & Ongoing Roles Available
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary and secondary schools in Camden.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Camden, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom management
- Implement Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, support work, or youth work experience welcomed)
- Be patient, resilient, and nurturing
- Have strong communication skills
- Be adaptable and able to work collaboratively within a school team
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, Psychology degree, etc.) are desirable but not essential.
