SEN Teaching Assistant - Hillingdon
£90 to £100 per day PAYE
Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

A specialist school based in Uxbridge, Hillingdon are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism. This is an opportunity where you will be making an impact on the development of students across primary, the ideal candidate will understand and recognise that progress can be quiet and gradual but highly rewarding. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year at a daily rate between £90 to £100 depending on your experience. Upon review of your performance, there will be an opportunity to go permanent.
The role:
- Provide 1:1 support tailored to the individual learning and communication needs of students
- Incorporate the use of visual timetables and structured routines to promote engagement
- Support students with sensory regulation and manage behaviour
- Work closely with Class Teachers, Therapists and the wider SEN team to aid development
- Maintain a safe, supporting and inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate:
- Experience supporting students with Autism and/or complex needs
- Genuine interest in developing knowledge of sensory processing and behavioural challenges
- Patient and calm with a positive and proactive approach to learning
- Available full-time, 5 days a week and can work from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role where consistency is paramount
