SEN Teaching Assistant - Ealing
£90 to £100 per day PAYE
Monday and Tuesday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

A primary school based in Acton, Ealing are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with Autism and Global Developmental Delay (GBB) on a 1:1 basis in their Additional Resourced Provision (ARP). The is a job share position to support the student on Monday and Tuesday and will be a long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. The daily rate will vary between £90 to £100 depending on your experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced looking to work on a part-time basis supporting students with special needs.
The role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with Autism and Global Developmental Delay who is non-verbal
- The student is working behind their expected learning ability at Early Years level
- Have the ability to work independently and support the student without supervision
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to adapt learning standards to cater to the student
- Be able to set clear boundaries within the classroom and throughout the school day
- Work closely with Class Teachers, Therapists and the wider SEN team to aid development
- Maintain a safe, supporting and inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate:
- Must have school based experience supporting students with Autism and/or Global Developmental Delay
- Have understanding of ACC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication, MAKATON or PECs
- Genuine interest in working with students with SEN
- Patient and calm with a positive and proactive approach to learning
- Available on Monday and Tuesday from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role where consistency is paramount
