SEN Teaching Assistant
A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Enfield is seeking experienced and passionate Learning Support Assistants and Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team from September.
The school has over 800 pupils on roll and is highly regarded for its inclusive approach and strong SEN provision. There are three specialist SEN classes within the school, organised by both age range and level of need, supporting children across a broad spectrum of additional needs. Around 30 pupils currently have EHCPs in place.
Staff work closely together to create a nurturing, supportive environment where children are encouraged to thrive both academically and socially. The school benefits from excellent outdoor space, a calm and engaging learning environment, and even a therapy dog who plays an important role in supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing.
The leadership team is now looking to appoint strong, experienced LSAs and SNTAs who are confident supporting children with a range of special educational needs, both within specialist provision and across the wider school.
The ideal candidates will:
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
- Be calm, patient and proactive in their approach
- Be confident working with pupils with a range of needs, including autism and communication difficulties
- Work well as part of a collaborative staff team
- Be passionate about making a positive difference to children’s education and development
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school with a strong reputation for inclusion and pastoral care.
