Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Salary: £93 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking specialist school in Dorking. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive team in a school that prioritises the individual progress and well-being of every student.
We have a close relationship with the SLT at this school and are looking to organise interviews ASAP. You must be available for interviews ASAP.
About the School:
This specialist setting caters to pupils with a diagnosis of ASC, ADHD, and SEMH. The school environment is warm, structured, and collaborative, offering both academic and therapeutic learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning
- Support the emotional and social development of students
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists
- Help create an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment

About You:
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
- You must be someone who can stay composed and be able to understand that volatile language stems from social and emotional struggles
- If you have a background in the police, youth work, gang affiliation, security or similar fields, and are looking to make a real change in young people's lives, this role may be suitable as the character skills you have could benefit
- A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology Degree, Youth Work) are desirable but not essential
