We’re working with a friendly specialist school in Enfield that is looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026.
The school supports children across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), PMLD and communication needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to be part of a school where every small step forward is celebrated.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and specialist support staff to help pupils access learning, develop their independence and feel confident within school.
You’ll support pupils with:

Phonics, Maths and communication activities

Classroom learning and small group activities
-
Social and emotional development
-
Building confidence and independence
-
Communication and interaction
-
Personal care where required
You’ll also work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive consistent and individualised support.
Every day will be different, and your role will be about helping pupils make progress in both their learning and personal development.
About You

Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
The school would also welcome candidates with backgrounds in education, care, support work, youth work or childcare who are looking to develop their career within SEND.
