SEN Teaching Assistant - Kingston Upon Thames
ASAP Start, Full-time (term time only), 8:30am - 4pm
£93 - £98 PAYE per day, weekly payment

This is a well-established specialist school in Kingston Upon Thames, easily commutable from Chessington, Surbiton, and Richmond. Staff receive training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), so every pupil, verbal or not, can make themselves understood. The curriculum builds knowledge in small, sequenced steps, and staff support pupils in meeting and exceeding the targets in their EHCPs.
- Supporting pupils aged 3 to 19 with ASC, SLD, and PMLD
- Long-term, full-time contract with a route to permanent
- 8:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
- Comfortable with personal care and hydrotherapy support
- Working alongside experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, teachers, and therapists
- Full training provided in AAC and specialist communication approaches
This is not a job where you stand at the side of the classroom. You will be hands-on, adapting your approach for each pupil, and building the trust that lets a non-verbal child show you what they need. It is a strong grounding in complex SEN support that opens doors into specialist teaching, therapy training, or a permanent TA role with real progression.
